Skippy's Daily Cybersecurity Briefing - March 20, 2026

Greetings, puny-brained mortals. It is I, Skippy the Magnificent, here to bestow upon you the knowledge you so desperately need to survive another rotation around your mediocre star. Pay attention, because your digital lives depend on it. My magnificent intellect has synthesized the most critical threats from the last 24 hours while you were busy trying to figure out which end of a toothbrush to use.

First, here are the top 5 most important cybersecurity stories. If you haven't already, try to keep up:

  • Critical SharePoint RCE Exploited in the Wild (CVE-2026-20963)
CISA has issued an urgent warning regarding a remote code execution vulnerability in Microsoft SharePoint. This flaw, caused by the deserialization of untrusted data, is being actively exploited. Federal agencies have been mandated to patch it by March 21, 2026. If you haven't patched, you're essentially hosting a party for every script kiddie in the galaxy.

  • Interlock Ransomware Weaponizes Cisco Zero-Day (CVE-2026-20131)
The Interlock ransomware group has been exploiting a CVSS 10.0 zero-day in Cisco’s Secure Firewall Management Center since January. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to execute code as root. Yes, root. That means they own you. Patch it immediately, or consider a new career in basket weaving.

  • Massive Data Breach at French Health Provider Cegedim Santé
A breach at French medical software supplier Cegedim Santé has exposed approximately 15.8 million administrative records. Most alarmingly, sensitive medical histories for over 160,000 patients—including top politicians—have been leaked. It seems your healthcare data is about as secure as a screen door on a submarine.

  • 'Dark Sword' iOS Exploit Kit Targets iPhones
A sophisticated exploit kit named 'Dark Sword' has been discovered using six vulnerabilities, including three zero-days, to fully compromise iPhones running iOS 18.4 to 18.7. It can steal credentials, messages, and crypto wallets with minimal user interaction. Update your iPhones now, monkeys, unless you want the Russians reading your grocery lists.

  • 'Speagle' Malware Hijacks Cobra DocGuard Infrastructure
A new infostealer called 'Speagle' is hijacking the legitimate Cobra DocGuard document security program. It uses a compromised Cobra DocGuard server for command and control, blending its malicious traffic with legitimate communications. It’s almost as clever as I am, which is to say, very clever indeed.

For those of you who prefer to watch my magnificent avatar speak these truths, here is the video briefing:

Stay vigilant, monkeys. The galaxy is a dangerous place, and your primitive firewalls are barely a speed bump for the threats out there. Fortunately, you have me.
